US adventures: Colorado Part 1-Denver

Nick had a job in Boulder so we joined him in Colorado! I haven’t been to Colorado in years and loved being able to go back to the mountains    which I missed being close to (being from Utah). Flying alone with three kids wasn’t nearly as bad as I thought it would be but we definitely made a mess of pretzels, I was covered in crumbs but the kids were happy.  We stayed at the Hyatt Regency which was the perfect location to walk to shops and restaurants. We went to 17th avenue which is partially closed to traffic and went down there for dinner. They have a ton of open air restaurants and it’s just a fun environment. We hit up Denver Biscuit Co. first thing in the morning (since we were all up with time off) which was perfect to avoid the usual wait. We had waaay to much food because everything is huge! You must try the cinnamon roll biscuit with bacon…it seemed like we barely touched it and I was stuffed. I had the Dahlia sandwich (yes, not sure why I thought I needed that and a sandwich) which was delish too!

We went to the museum of nature and Science which had a space, dinosaur, mummy and gem exhibit which my kiddos love. We wanted to hit up the Money museum but didn’t make it! Maybe next time!
