Must have hair products
I’m constantly trying different hair products in the quest for perfect hair (which is never going to happen) but love that I keep finding new products that do change how my hair feels, looks and styles. Here are my current must haves:
1. Monat smoothing shampoo and conditioner: I started with a different product from their line thanks to my friend Rachel who let me try this and it didn’t quite work for my hair but she helped me find the perfect fit in the smoothing line and I can tell a difference already. The hardest part for me is sticking to this line only, which is recommended to help eliminate all the build up from other products. I’ve always been one to rotate products but after sticking to it for a few weeks my hair feels softer, smoother and thicker. If you are interested you should contact my friend RachelLiles@icloud.com and she can help you find the right product for you.
2. Biosilk: I’m not going to admit how long I’ve been using this because it will totally date me but it’s one of those things I can’t live without and it lasts forever. It makes my hair smoother and silkier for lack of a better word. And I love the smell.
3. Dyson Hairdryer. This is not something I would ever purchase for myself due to cost but my husband got some deal on it and I love everything about it. My hair dries quicker and less frizzy, I love how the attachments connect and the size is just perfect. The only thing I don’t love about it is how thick the cord is. Honestly I know it’s a lot of money but I think I had my last dryer for over 10 years and used it every other day at least so I’m sure I’ll get my monies worth.
4. Psssst dry shampoo. My sister in law let me on that this and I love the price, smell and how my hair doesn’t get as chalky as with other dry shampoos. I feel like it gives me a little more body but not a super gritty feeling. They have fun new scents that I can’t wait to try.
5. Bumble and bumble a tint of brown hair powder. This is perfect for when my roots are starting to show and I don’t have time to run in and get them done (like all the time). My only complaint is that depending on the bottle I have it can be hit or miss on the spray consistency and sometimes I end up with dark spray on my face. This does give a more gritty feeling so I don’t use it as often. They do have this in other colors.
6. T3 bodywaver. This is still my go to everyday curling iron. I love the big barrel and the loose curls it gives.
7. T3 whirl trio. I still love this for travel purposes but the largest size is still a little small for me for everyday. Looks perfect but on day two. And I’ve yet to try a wand just due to cost. The only thing that would make it perfect is a flat iron option for travel!
8. Monat blow out cream. I don’t have a links for this like the shampoo above but you can contact my friend if you are interested. I love how light this is and how it smooths and protects without a greasy feeling.
9. Round brush. This is a game changer for me. I love the idea of using a round brush but I feel that I always get it tangled in my hair, especially as my hair gets longer. The size of this let’s me manipulate so much easier.
10. Mini flat iron. This is for when Nick limits my travel bag size and I have no choice or when I need something in my bag or car just in case. My only complaint is that i haven’t figured out how to curl with this size flat iron:
Hope this helps. I’m still looking for a magic hairspray if anyone has one they want to share!
Thanks for the recap .. so far so good
