Favorite skin care products
When we started the Spa at Connally we had a ton of reps come and we tried sooo much product. It was kinda overwhelming to choose but now I have my regulars that I use. The thing that is great about these products is that they are medical grade, carefully formulated and FDA approved.
I have finally whittled it down to my favorites, although I have a lot of others I like and use. Let’s be honest, basically I lather on as much product as I can at night with the hopes I don’t get old.
1. Obagi Vitamin C. The smell and texture of this is amazing. Vitamin C helps rejuvenate your skin, minimize wrinkles, retain moisture and brighten skin.
2. PCA Ideal Complex Restorative Eye Cream and Ideal Complex Revitalizing Eye Gel. I can’t decide if I like the eye cream or gel better, they are both great. I’ve been using the eye cream at night and gel in the morning. I put the gel in the fridge to help reduce puffiness.
3. PCA Lip Peptide Therapy. I use this at night before I go to bed. I kinda hated it at first because it seemed gritty but now I love that it exfoliates, smooths fine lines and even has plumping properties.
4. SkinMedica HA5. This immediately reduces fine lines and wrinkles (I’m getting old and trying to prevent wrinkles at this point). It even supports your own natural ability to make hyaluronic acid.
5. PCA Intensive Brightening Retinol. There are different kinds depending on your skin type or current skin problem which I love because my skin changes depending on if I’m hormonal, stressed or not. I tend to get sun spots so I love this one. Start slow with retinol, you will peel at the beginning but slowly you can increase. The best skin protection I can recommend is that everyone is using daily vitamin C, retinol and suncreen regardless of your age.
6. PCA Sheer Tint Sunscreen. I debate between this and PCA Hydrator Plus Suncreen because they are both awesome but the tint has a little bit of color to it. I love the Hydrator Plus because it doesn’t feel so grimy like most sunscreens do.
